Kota Bahru Dredger Removal

Project Overview

The Nanyang 126, a 2 in 1 dredger vessel operating near Kota Bharu, was discovered in a severely damaged and dangerous condition. The hull was leaking seriously, and the vessel was no longer stable enough to be towed or docked at any shipyard. With approval from the relevant authorities, dismantling was authorized to be carried out directly at the site in Kuala Besar. A controlled dismantling zone was established to ensure safe operations and environmental protection throughout the process. Several sections were deeply embedded in the seabed sand. Using a heavy-duty winch, the team successfully pulled and recovered the remaining parts that were stuck beneath the surface. The Nanyang 126 Ship Breaking Project was completed safely and efficiently, demonstrating our capability to manage high-risk marine dismantling works under challenging site conditions.
