Galoc Wreck Removal

Project Overview

Near Kuala Terengganu, The Galoc Wreck Removal Project was launched to dismantle and clear the wreck safely. The cut-and-pull method proved efficient and safe. The operation began with the divers performing underwater cutting. Above water, oxy-acetylene cutting continued until the entire vessel was dismantled. Residual oil and sludge were recovered using absorbent pads and oil booms. Through teamwork, discipline, and strict safety control, the wreck was fully removed with zero incidents and no pollution.
